Michele R. Smith (Micki), 46, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Akron General Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1967 in Medina, to Philip and Jerri (Aungst) Johns.
She graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1985 and had resided in the Chatham and Lodi areas most of her life. Michele had worked as a dispatcher for Three Rivers Transportation in Wadsworth. She also did tax returns for clients, and worked at the Wayne County Speedway. She enjoyed flower gardening and was always willing to help others when needed.
Surviving is her husband, James; daughter, Casey Jameyson; mother and step father, Jerri and Robert Kreiner of Chatham; step mother, Charlotte Johns of West Salem; sister, Sandra (Edward) Sampsell of West Salem; brother, Mark Johns; and her beloved dog, Budda; many nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Johns; grandparents, Raymond L. Aungst, Lloyd and June Pickering and Jerry and Leona Johns and niece, Brittnee Johns.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10 A.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Pastor Jim McComas will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
