BRUNSWICK HILLS TWP. — Four police officers, including a full-time sergeant, were sworn in at Tuesday’s township trustees meeting.
Police Chief Sharon MacKay said the department had been processing candidates for the positions for several months.
“We are pleased with the officers that have been chosen,” MacKay said.
Eric C. Bors, the newly appointed sergeant, has 16 years of police experience that includes time with the Medina County Drug Task Force.
Also joining the force full time is Matthew S. Sandella, who started his career in 2010.
The part-time officers are Theodore Makrinos Jr., whose father was a township police officer 30 years ago, and Przemyslaw Piekut.
Brunswick Hills police officers were part time from 1978 to 1990, when the department became full time.
