More than 40 chocolatiers will entice with dipped strawberries, fudge, truffles, cookies and more at the 17th annual “For the Love of Chocolate” Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Medina Performing Arts Center at Medina High School, 851 Weymouth Road.
All attendees, age 12 and older must have a ticket to enter the event hosted by the American Red Cross of Medina County and The J.M. Smucker Co. Tickets are $10 each for eight samples.
The event features a Children’s Chocolate Cookie Contest; a Decadent Chocolate Dessert Contest for professional cooks and adult and teen hobby cooks sponsored by Buehler’s Fresh Foods;
a Children’s Candyland area with games and amusements sponsored by the Medina County District Library; and a bake sale featuring contest winners.
Chocolatiers also will have items for sale.
All proceeds help Medina County families prevent, prepare for and cope with emergencies.
